Kathy Dougherty received a law degree from The Ohio State University in 1992 and that year began practicing in the area of personal injury and medical malpractice, representing plaintiffs.

Ms. Dougherty has an extensive medical background. She holds a bachelor's degree in nursing and an associate degree in respiratory therapy. Her 15 years of medical experience includes serving as a respiratory therapist, neonatal nurse, neonatal transport clinician and neonatal nurse practitioner in both Level II and Level III hospitals.

Ms. Dougherty is a member of the Ohio Association for Justice and the Ohio State and Columbus Bar Associations.
